The Artzy Garden

To plant a seed is to believe  in tomorrow

Let's Grow Together

There’s something deeply special about spending time in the garden. It’s more than just tending plants—it’s a quiet place where we reconnect with nature, with the rhythm of the seasons, and often with ourselves. Digging in the soil, feeling the sun on your skin, and watching something grow under your care brings a kind of peace that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Gardening keeps our bodies moving and our hands strong, but it also nourishes something deeper. It invites conversation, laughter, and shared moments with children, family, and friends. The vegetables and fruits we harvest feed our bodies, while the time spent outdoors feeds our spirit.

Somehow, without it ever feeling like exercise, a few hours in the garden can work the body just as much as a trip to the gym. But instead of counting reps, we’re planting seeds, pulling weeds, and sharing stories. In the end, gardening gives us far more than a harvest—it gives us connection, health, and memories that grow right alongside the plants.

Gardening is not just good for your body, it's good for mind too! It gets your brain going and reduces the risk of losing your marbles. Some studies even say that gardening can cut your chances of getting dementia in half! Plus, it can make you feel happy by releasing the "feel-good" hormone serotonin. And if you're feeling stressed, gardening can help you chill out by practicing mindfulness.

Did you know that indoor gardening can actually help with mental health? It's not just how pretty the plants look - they can also clean the air by removing toxins and dust, and produce negative ions that can affect your mood. And get this there's some pretty promising evidence that these charged ions can really make a difference!

This Is Going To Be Fun

I’m many things  a mom, Yaya, sister, friend, a woman in the prime of my life, and a caregiver. Right now, the caregiver role tends to take center stage. Like many women, my “me time” doesn’t begin until after 11:30 pm Central Time, when most people have already called it a day.

One night I had an aha moment  there must be so many women of all ages just like me who would love a place to simply talk about life, the day, and everything in between (no politics please)

I’ve never really talked online before, but I think it’s going to be fun. I’m excited to create a private members chat space where we can connect openly. What’s said in the group stays in the group. Through video chats on Zoom, it will feel like we’re sitting around the table together having a girls’ night.

Most importantly, this will be a safe place where everyone feels welcome and valued. No negativity, no mean comments, and no ridicule — just kindness, empathy, and support for one another.

To keep the space private and allow us to use Zoom for our nightly chats, there will be a small monthly membership of $9.95. I will be online every night by 11:30 pm (Central Time), and you’re welcome to join in as often as you’d like.

As a small way of giving back, each month you’ll receive a $10 code that can be used toward anything you may want to purchase — though of course, no purchase is ever necessary to join us.

So bring your wine, pour a cup of coffee, and come chat.
